Early Childhood Educators Levels 1, 2 & 3

Requirements:

  • Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certificate

  • Valid Child Care First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

    • (CPR-AED Level B) certificate

  • Criminal record check, with a vulnerable sector search

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Learning and Child Care Licensing Regulations and Alberta Flight Curriculum

  • Relevant work experience

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Fun, playful and caring towards children

  • Able to observe, engage with and support children's play and learning

  • Able to communicate effectively and work closely with children, parents and colleagues

  • Reliable and trustworthy

Job duties:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children

  • Oversee kitchen operations

  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

  • May clean kitchen and work area

  • May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

 

Requirements:

  • Alberta Food Safety Basic Certificate

  • Alberta Health and Safety for Child Care Certificate

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

  • Relevant work experience

  • Organized with problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Reliable and adaptable team player

  • Physically fit, able to stand for extended period and lift heavy load

  • Criminal record check, with a vulnerable sector search
