I tried Local Business Directory simply because it was mentioned in a local Facebook group. I live in Prince George and have my own small carpet and upholstery cleaning business. I started by simply registering, without any special expectations. The site is simple - I made a profile in an hour, added before and after photos, briefly wrote what we do, indicated our phone number and business hours. The first surprise - two days later a woman called me and said that she found us through the directory, although she had never heard of us before. I was really surprised. Then I realized that Local Business Directory is well indexed - when you type something like "sofa cleaning Prince George" into Google, this directory is often the first thing that pops up. And our profile is there. Simple and logical. Then more and more came. People started leaving reviews. At first, I asked my regular customers to leave a few words - nothing super formal, just briefly describe the experience. Reviews are not added instantly, apparently they are moderated, but at least you can see that they are real. There was one negative review from a client who mixed up the date of the visit - but I wrote a response, apologized and offered a free repeat cleaning. He even edited his review later! In my opinion, such situations make the platform lively and real.
